Uncle! Uncle!

We have this heart shaped crop. Except, I don’t think it’s an ordinary crop. It is teh ebils.

I don’t know what the rod of a regular crop is made out of because I’m not quite brave enough to unravel any of Master’s crops to find out. But whatever it is, I don’t think it’s the same thing that this heart crop is made from.

crop

The heart crop’s rod isn’t covered with anything. It’s a metal stick, see? It’s not whippy like his other crops. It’s stiff. Hard.

It hurts.

I remember when we bought it, it was at some seedly little roadside sex shop a couple of years ago. I thought it was “cute”.

Awww, I thought. How sweet. He can make little red hearts on my butt!

I carried it over to him gushing over how cute it was. He rolled his eyes, being the fairly non-romantic kind of sadist that he is, and tossed it on the counter.

Yeah. What a fucking dumbass I am, yanno?

So, he’s been determined to make little heart-shaped bruises with this thing.

I’m here to tell you (and to tell HIM!) that it does not make heart-shaped bruises. It makes bruises plenty; just not heart-shaped ones.

What it does leave is a welt in the shape of the metal rivet in the center of the heart. Tiny little raised red and white circles, and, a day or two later, an ugly green bruise somewhere in the vicinity of where the metal rod snapped under the heart.

But no hearts.

They will not come.

I am crying.. no, I am screaming Uncle!

Here! Here’s your hearts! Now will ya quit already?

Nah, he just needs to keep working. I’m sure there’s a heart shaped mark in there somewhere. Persistence, man persistence!

Crops: as best I recollect they started off as simple wooden shafts, progressed to wooden with a leather handle, wrist strap plus a popper on the business end; then wooden center wrapped in leather, bamboo wrapped in leather, and now almost any flexible material, from plastic to steel to wooden dowel retro versions.

    just kidding :)

I have a heart shaped crop, too. It leaves heart shaped marks, but it doesn’t have the rivet, so that may be why.
Too bad, because the heart shapes are so cute!

Hey, I love the new look! :)

Of course something that looks cute can hurt. I mean, look at Daddy for instance: cutest guy on the planet, right? Right! But even though he’s all cuddly and sweet looking he can *really* hurt!

I do like the new format… Freaked me out at first.. Thought I was on the wrong page…. but… you have been bookmarked for EVER so it had to be just a change. :)

Is there any possible way that He is intentionally using the crop in such a way as to NOT leave heart marks? This way He gets to keep saying…” Oh look, no mark that time… must try again harder!” ?? Those Master types can be trixsy like that ya know.

But I do think your heart shapes count. I mean… did He specifically say that the heart shape had to pop up that second, or had to be the exact shape of the crop in a bruise? You didnt mention that it had to in your post… so assuming not, YOU R DA WEINER! :P

ps… have you tried putting any essential oils into your soap making? I know you can get already shaved soap at health food stores. And I know you can buy unsented soap. I have been using the Zest invigorating one lately… but today I think I will make some with unsented soap and some Peppermint essential oils. Peppermint is supposed to keep bugs away. Maybe if our clothes smell like it…. we wont get any more misquito bites! Its worth a shot.. and it smells good.

Love the new layout! Very clean.

Cute crop! Is the rivet the same on both sides? Wonder if the side of impact changes the mark? Hrm.

  16. Ellen says:

Hahaha I loooove those pictures. I cracked the hell up, I showed my boyfriend he failed to see the true genius in it. Simply said it doesn’t count. Psh men.

  17. dweaver999 says:

    Kaya,

You know what you need? A bigger heart shape onj the end of the crop. Clearly it’s a case of the mark being too small to see. Either that or Scott has to emulate the tool guy…”More Power!”

    I like the new layout.

  18. subtle says:

    Luv the layout :)

I seriously think that the people who make these ‘cute’ things really don’t think that anyone is actually going to use them. The most innocent-looking things really do hurt the worst…

P.S I’m loving the ‘real slavery’ discussion over @fet…I’m with you 100% in what you’ve said about the ‘sustained illusion’.
