Thievery
To whoever it was who broke into my daughter’s car at the beach over the weekend and stole her purse containing her very first, freshly cashed paycheck from her first full-time, hard-working job:
Fuck off and die, you useless waste of oxygen.
Seriously. I mean that with every ounce of sincerity in my body.
You’ve got an 18 year old teenage mom doing her damndest to get her shit together, *trying* to save up for an apartment, wanting to take care of her kid, and some fucked-up loser with no fucking morals or scruples or honor or integrity comes along and kicks her down.
Now she doesn’t even have the gas money to get to work and back until her next paycheck.
Karma’s a bitch, baby. You enjoy that money that she worked her fucking ass off to EARN, a concept lost on you apparently. I hope you fucking choke on it.
At first I was kind of mad at her for leaving it in her car in the first place. But you know, she’s 18, she’s got a rose-colored view of the world. She locked her doors and thought that was enough. She counted on people having the same moral code that she does.
It’s a tough fucking lesson to learn. That it was her FIRST check that she’s been so excited to get, had plans on what she was buying babygirl, had budgeted out a gas allowance and a savings fund- and then to lose it all during one 20 minute walk on the beach with her new boyfriend-
I’m rapidly getting more pissed off at the world. Just- jesus christ, cut the girl a break already.
Injustices committed against my children piss me the fuck off. This is the shit that will turn them into the cynical bitch that I am. And that sucks.
Fuckin’ people. Assholes.

..yeah..we here in the Northwest don’t leave anything in a car unless you want it broken into. We no longer have registrations in the glovebox.
Nothing…ever…
That’s terrible! I’m so sorry!
I’ve had my purse stolen twice now; once from my car while I was in the grocery store and once someone actually came into our house at night while we slept and took my purse off the kitchen chair. We woke up to find the back door wide open and searched the house to find my purse was gone. He flung the empty purse into a neighbor’s yard a couple of houses away as he took off with my wallet. Awful feeling. Be sure to notify the police so they know and they can keep track of what areas thieves are targeting, even if they can’t get back your daughter’s purse.
I share your anger, what a shame!
Awww, that sucks. And yes it sucks more that it’s her first paycheck. I guess the only silver lining (yeah, call me Pollyanna!) is that they didn’t have to hurt your daughter to take her money.
That really stinks! Make sure she reported everything missing to the police department. My purse was stolen one time and several months later, some detectives came looking for me because the thief had used my drivers license to cash stolen checks at banks all over town.
The detective idiots wanted me to take a lie detector test and held me at the police station for several hours because I refused. It was a mess, but I was really glad I had reported stolen.
That’s horrible!I am so sorry she had to go through that. From one mom to another, I’m sorry you had to go through it too. Almost as diffcult for you, in a way, knowing your child is hurting.
Thats absolutely horrible…and I echo sin that thank god she wasn’t hurt. The thief will get theirs someday…and your daughter will gain the money she lost in one way or another.
I’m sorry for both of you
I don’t want to bust your bubble, but you are just getting starting with the crazy stuff that is going to go on with this kid. Did you ever read any of the books that we recommended?
There is a slim chance that events happened as you believe they did. Your blind faith in your kids makes you easy to manipulate, and it will be done so long as you allow it, and that is much more likely what this is about.
Complete bullshit!! And you’re right, karma is a bitch, the person who did this will get theirs. It makes me so sad that we have people like this in the world : (
Unfortunately I kinda had the same thoughts as Hawkeye but will but it a bit more gently. I have a daughter, 31 years old now, who has borderline personality disorder. So, having lived through so much with her, my first thought in reading your post was…”that’s not happened.” Maybe she gave her money to the new boyfriend…maybe she spent it on something or another…who knows. But I’ve been down that road and those with BPD are so darn manipulative and it becomes very very difficult to take their stories at face value.
I agree with some other posters that the money probably wasn’t stolen. I hate to say that but BPD does that to a person.
Oh believe me, I have the same suspicions. In a way I still do. I didn’t JUST meet her, you know!
But there were other people who corroborated her story, and the police were called and…
I know she’s good, but I don’t know if she’s THAT good.
Car damage? I would not put lying about lost money past ANY teen, never mind a Jes-like one. But I doubt Jes would, say, break her own car window, or pry a bend into the frame of her own car door, to make her story make sense. Even if they used a slim jim they probably left some marks due to hurrying and worrying through the process, unless there are very practiced, slick thieves in the area. (Which: beach? what beach is this? hee hee)
Did it ever occur to you that maybe she put the money in her pocket and then left her purse in such a way that it would be likely to be stolen? I don’t know, she is your kid, but that would be SOP for pulling this off. Not only does she now have you giving her more money, but she also has your sympathy, and has proven to herself that she is fully in control.
I highly recommend that you get cracking in the books, to come to grips what you are dealing with here.
I’m not giving her money. I don’t give her money. She’s scrambling to come up with gas money.
Well, yes, it may be a lie, but it also may very well be true. I think it is important to be supportive to her (not financially). Life is hard enough for her, anyway. I am very sorry, for you and for her! Tina
I’ll come help you kill them. We’ll just tell the cops our men had us tied up in your basement when it happened.
Wow. What an asshole.
Poor Jess. :/
That is so horrible! I hope whoever did it gets theirs!
I hope they find a ahole and punish him.
goddamn, this PISSES ME OFF. I hope karma bites whoever did this–IN THE ASS with barbed wire. sons-a-bitches. grrr. Thieves suck.
I’m so sorry. Goddamn learning the hard way at every turn…I know that route & it hurts. She does need a big break, I hope she gets one soon. Your girl makes my heart hurt. I wish I could help somehow. I know she’s struggling her own demons & trying…and to get kicked in the teeth…ugh.
Sorry…just so disappointed in humanity. Can’t thieves steal from the rich who won’t fuckin miss it???
