T.B.P.B.F.K.T.M.
I have a shameful chocolate-lovers confession to make. It may usurp my Chocolate Queen crown (but you aren’t getting my ornament!)
There is one Christmas-Nom that I will pass up all chocolate-dipped noms for. It’s peanut butter fudge. But not just any peanut butter fudge, oh no. Certainly not that microwave peanut butter chip/condensed milk melty crap that should be illegal to try and pass off as peanut butter fudge! ~snooty sniff~
Only *this* peanut butter fudge. This one is so good that it’s getting its very own entry all to its self. With step by step pictures, Pioneer Woman style, because if any of you like peanut butter fudge, you must make this.
The Best Peanut Butter Fudge Known To Man.
Believe it or not, I don’t particularly like fudge. Fudge doesn’t really taste like chocolate, it tastes like, well, like fudge. Fudge, sludge, mudge, blech. But this is not your average fudge. This is orgasmic.
I only make this at Christmas because if I made it all year I’d not fit through my front door. This could also be known as Badonkadonk Butt Fudge, but that doesn’t sound nearly as delicious, does it?
Okay. Enough babble. I have peanut butter fudge to eat.
What you’ll need:

Sugar, flour, milk, butter, marshmallow creme and peanut butter.
What you do:
In a large saucepan, heat 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup milk and 4 cups of sugar over low to med heat.

Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. You don’t have to stir it constantly but I don’t go too far away from it, either.

Remove from heat and stir in 1 jar of marshmallow creme and 1 and 1/2 cups peanut butter.

You may need to switch arms. There is no shame in having an underdeveloped stir-muscle.

Sometimes it helps if you sing in your best Dory voice. “Keep stirring. Juuust keep stirring!”

Eventually, it’ll look like this: Smooth and creamy peanut butter goodness. MmmmMmmMmm.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll be tempted to scoop up a fingerful and taste it right now.
Don’t.
It’s hot. Reeeeally hot.
Trust me here. It’s hot and it sticks like glue (plus you’ll burn your tongue) and you’ll have bandaged fingers which will make creating (and taste-testing) the rest of your Christmas-Noms very difficult.
Gradually stir in 2/3 cup of flour.

And by “gradually” I mean dump in 1/3 of a cup, stir it in, dump in the other 1/3 cup. By this stage of the game, “gradual” is more of a guideline than a rule because I r hungry.
Pour into a buttered 9×13 pan and smooth it out. Let cool and harden.

Get prepared. Unbutton the top snap of your jeans. Or, hell, take them off. Fudge does not care if you’re naked! Set out a plate. Pour a mug of coffee. Turn off the phone. Have a cigarette ready for that post-orgasm smoke.
Slice into squares and have a party in your mouth.

Your personal trainer will thank me.
Ingredients:
4 cups white sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1 (7oz) jar mashmallow creme
12 oz (about 1 and 1/2 cups) peanut butter
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
Grease a 9×13 pan, set aside. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar and butter. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 min. Remove from heat, stir in marshmallow creme and peanut butter. Gradually stir in the flour. Spread into the prepared pan and let cool.

That looks unreasonably delicious! What size jar of fluff do you use? Do you ever add things, like maybe semisweet chocolate chips?
Nevermind…I don’t know how I missed the size…you have it right there.
I haven’t yet tried adding anything to it. I’m afraid of messing it up! But I am going to try a different recipe for a chocolate/peanut butter fudge today or tomorrow.
Melt chocolate and pour it on top after you’ve put the fudge in the pan. Queen status restored!
these look great.. but I would rather see your beautiful nude body while you are eating one.
i use a similar recipe but i have never added the peanut butter and flour.
will make some later on this weekend. we all love peanut butter and i have plenty of stirrers to help.
how much snow have you gotten??? we have a few inches here and i am soooo done with it. i am a southern gal and all this cold sux.
So you make it the same way with chocolate? What kind? Tell me!!!
I don’t know how much snow we’ve gotten total. A lot. And there is another bunch on the way, or so I hear. Which sucks cuz I really need to get groceries.
Oh well. We can eat fudge!
Nomnomnom!
*runs off to make a batch*
Have you ever made muffins with ground cloves, cinnamon, ginger and cardemom? Try it. They’re freaking delicious.
Yup. I need to make christmas noms. Now.
I have not made those! I should though. (even though I don’t even know what cardemom is..lol)
Here’s another recipe for you (I think I’ll pass this to Violet as well…):
12 oz butter. REAL butter. 80% fat butter.
13 oz sugar
1.5 cups syrup or molasses
1 tbs ground ginger
1 tbs ground cinnamon
1 tbs groun cloves
1.5 cups dairy cream, the 40% one.
3 pounds of all purpose flour
1 tbs baking soda
Melt the butter. The real butter, put that margarine away! Pour in sugar, syrup and spices. Stirr.
Whip the cream lightly and turn it into the butter-mix. Add the baking soda to a bit of flour, and stirr it in as well. Add the flour, mix properly and knead like crazy. The dough is supposed to be just so that it doesn’t stick to your fingers, but not dry.
Store in fridge for two days, then split into 6-8 bits, spread (what IS that called?) and take out small forms. They’re supposed to be *thin*, as thin as you can make them without the dough breaking. You ought to get at least 600 out of the recpie.
Middle of oven at 350F for 5-7 minutes.
They’re worth it. I’ll find you one for the muffins!
Aha!
3.5 oz butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
0.5 cups sour cream
1.5 cups all purpose flour
1 tbs cinnamon
1 tbs cloves
1 tbs ginger
(1 tsp cardamom)
1 tbs baking soda
Turn the oven to 390 (400?)F. Stirr room temperatured butter and sugar fluffy. Add one egg at a time, while stirring, then the sour cream. Last, add the flour with the spices and baking soda mixed in.
Middle of oven for about 15 minutes.
You can change the sugar to regular white sugar and the baking soda to 2tsp baking soda, but they’ll loose the characteristic flavour.
I’m pretty sure you can figure out the “Use muffinsforms” part yourself. *pretending I didn’t forget it*
But But But!!
Sanna do we have marshmallow stuff over here? I was nearly weeping because I didn’t think any place like ICA or Coop sold fluff in a tub?
Hmm… well, here’s the Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshmallow_creme
If you’ve got The English Shop, you might find it. Also, some stores in Stockholm carry the item.
Send me an email or add me at six_three_five@hotmail.com, we’ll trace some of it down. I swear I’ve seen a can at Kvantum at some point!
If you can’t find it, I’ll buy you a can and send it.
That looks yummy. Think I’m gonna try it- and I don’t care too much for fudge either!
Holly
Bring your sweet tooth.
You could so totes be The Kinky Pioneer Woman!!
This post was full of awesome and win. Weekly feature! ::chants:: Weekly Feature!
OOoooh! A weekly feature! I like!
I was going to look you up today because the day before yesterday Master “rewarded” me by taking me out to McDonalds for supper..lol. I thought of you when I was there!
Hee! We’re going into “town” tomorrow and i’m SURE a trip to McD’s is on the agenda. Quarter Pounder with no cheese… mmmmm.. That sound? My tummy growling. Srsly.
omg i love going to mcDonald’s. i always get a hamburger happy meal with apples and an extra hamburger. and extra ketchup. (and for really real, mcDonald’s hamburgers, no cheese, are the only things i religiously eat ketchup on. )
i love asking at the end of the meal, “cani play with my toy now?” and sometimes… *grin* He says, “No…”
*HUG!*
I’ve got to try this! I love peanut butter fudge, but have never found a recipe I like. I haven’t ever seen a fudge recipe with flour before. Can’t wait!
I wonder if I find one (or try it) this way with chocolate, if I’ll like it as much as I like peanut butter. No harm in trying!
The recipe on the fluff jar (for chocolate fudge) is pretty similar, minus the flour. i have never seen fudge with flour before.
i wonder if The Boss plans to make a trip to the store today, cause i need some fluff for some pb fudge now. Mmmm.. i’m kind of burnt out on chocolate.
I’ve never seen fudge with flour either. I wonder why? Maybe to make it firm?
I would guess it’s to make it firm. I haven’t tried it without using the flour so I’m not sure how it would set up if I didn’t use it. Might be worth an experiment though! (any excuse to make and eat more. tee hee)
DAMN IT.
The people in the grocery store think I’m a FREAK, woman.
Last week I was there for pickles. Yesterday I was there for ritz pb crackers and white chocolate.
Today..well, today I have the flu and was supposed to stay home and NOT go out into the cold and get all nipply.
Noooo. I have to go buy shit to make peanut butter fudge.
I is not a happy.
But I is gonna be full.
lmao
You made me lulz.
lulz.
That’s not the same as queefing, is it?
I have enjoyed your cooking – have you looked at http://www.recipezaar.com.
I love that site!!!
I’ve been to every cooking site on the net! (I think)
I hereby damn you, Kaya. Damn you straight to

w00t! I love the stuff. I just wish it were fat-free…lol
Kaya,
That looks DELICIOUS! After all your Christmas nom noms you have talked about or posted pictures of i think this may be the best one yet. I was actually wondering if you have a recipe for making rock candy…I have been looking all over for the “best” one to try…and I cant even find a recipe for that, does no one make it anymore? because I REALLY want to try and make it this year. Have a great Christmas!
I’ll call my mom and ask her. She used to make rock candy every year. I’ll get back to you later today!
Okay! Ill check back sometime within the next few days and see if i can actually make it
But thanks.
OK, its midnight i just finished making the fudge because i was obsessing on it! Gawd and yes my arm was falling off. Kept stirring and stirring and thinking “kaya said morrreeeeee” Gawd how easily i’m led!
So now i guess i sit and stare at it til cool :/
and yeah… what is it with the flour?
So??? What did you think of it??
*cries* I made peanut butter fudge souuuuppppp!!!!!
I eated it anyway
lol.. how did you make soup??
Mine wasn’t exactly soup but it didn’t harden very well HELP Where did I go wrong?
Dear Kaya,
“Fudge doesn’t care if you’re nekkid!”
I *love* that! And how true that is. That’s the same recipe I use for peanut butter fudge, but somewhere around here I’ve got a dreamsicle fudge recipe I hate (but make under threats to life…).
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Sincerely,
Ally
Merry Christmas!
looks sooooo yummmyyy i will try it
i have this baking bug up my butt…i want to bake so many things..but haven’t done much for fear of gaining fifty pounds lol
Don’t you know that you can’t gain weight at Christmas? It’s a law!
I’ve never attempted fudge before. I may have to. Though my master hates peanut butter with a passion so it couldn’t be this recipe.
BTW: Silly point from Mom-of-Four-Year-Old It’s Dory, the fish. Dora’s the hispanic girl on Nickelodeon. (I only remember because that song is what gets me through, well, life. LOL)
Thanks! Dora – Dory..lol Ah well. I was close.
omg…that looks amazing and yummy and I must try making it. I’m all out of fluff though, do you think I could substitue actually marshmallows somehow?
From a cooking site: For 1 cup marshmallow cream heat 16 large or 160 miniature marshmallows + 2 tsp corn syrup in the top of a double boiler.
But I’ve not done it so I don’t guarantee the results!
Soo… I made your fudge recipe… only… i thought i would be smart… because how hard can it be to stir it right? I made two batches at once…… so by the time the stiring part came I felt like I was going to die…. i ended up yelling for help at the top of my lungs… and it was only with Master’s help that I was able to get both batches poured without wrecking them…. He is awesom e
In one batch i layered near the top some milk chocolate hershy baking kisses… then layered some fudge on top.. now i have peaunt butter chocolate fudge!
now im going to make a chocolate covered banana… chocolate pretzles…. and i a gonna try chocolate covered gummie bears!
Yup, and then you’re gonna make me apple pie fudge little pet! That peanut butter fudge and the one with the chocolate turned out mighty tasty!
Hmmm, TBPBFKTM recipe -peanut butter + applesauce/cinnamon/applespice…..I wonder if it will work out well.
Quick tip on the PB fudge:
(Disclaimer- I just made it but it hasn’t hardened yet so I don’t know for sure how it will be, but…)
I’ve found a way to make the stirring as easy as can be.
Just measure the peanut butter into a bowl and nuke it in the microwave for 90 seconds before you dump it in the saucepan. Use a rubber spatula for the dumping. That stirs up within moments. Then put the marshmallow cream into the same bowl that you just nuked the peanut butter in and dump the peanut butter goo over the top. Being slathered in the goo made it really easy to stir in too. I did the whole recipe without making my arm sore.
My stir muscle is definitely underdeveloped. I was ready to cry by the end. My poor arm! I’m going to have to do more wii boxing to build it up. My fudge is sitting and cooling right now. I can’t wait to try it. Thanks Kaya!
