Sore
I’m sore. Everywhere. I’m hobbling around the house like a little old lady and I cry when Master touches me.
He’s not even the cause. He’s just reaping the rewards, the fucker.
The cause?
Body Pump Class.
Oh. My. Fucking God.
The saddest part? I’ve been to two classes. TWO. But there’s another one bright and early tomorrow morning and I’m wondering how I’m going to do it when I’m whimpering just by sitting on the couch. I’ll do it though (weather permitting, that is. We’re supposed to get some big snow storm.) because The Boss said I will.
Othewise, I’ve really just been busy. Happily so. Saturday morning was the first body pump class and then I came home to do some cooking and cleaning. We had Jack and Jill over for dinner and I used this recipe for a roast (with a few minor changes for ingredients on hand) and it was really yummy. We hadn’t had the chance to hang out with them for awhile so it was nice to catch up.
On Sunday, Master had some people over to do their geek-thing so I took advantage of not being needed for several hours and tackled some sorting/tossing/rearranging downstairs. I still have more I want to do. I guess I’ve given up on the construction project I wanted to do. Weather, time and, apparently, lack of interest on his part. Oh well.
Monday was another body pump class and I did 3 miles on the treadmill. Then I came home, showered, went grocery shopping, came home, cleaned…
Today, I cleaned and did laundry. Took Master’s work clothes to the laundromat so they don’t muck up my washer.
I’ve done a lot of babysitting, too. And now that she’s mobile, I’ve come to the conclusion that I am too fucking old for the whole baby thing. My word but she makes me tired. She’s definitely a high-maintenance girl. (Through no fault of mine, I’ll have you know!)
So, yeah. No fetlife, no blogging, no reading, no nuttin’. Work, work, work. Whine, whine, whine.
I want a slave of my very own. Anyone wanna apply?? There’d be perks!
I seriously had more but I just nodded off into the keyboard. I’m going to bed before I qwerty my forehead. Nighty-night!

So, does body pump class count as good pain, or bad pain? hehe The techs at my cardiologist’s office were talking about something called kamja, I think; sort of a jazz/mango/pilates kind of thing. One lady said she burned 700 calories in one hour. Now, that sounds painful.

I’m sorry to hear that exercise programme is making you so sore… is it the full hour long classes or the 45 minutes? Is there are chance you’d be allowed to swap to a less rigorous training programme? Such as Tai Chi or Yoga? If it has to be Body Pump, and if you are doing the full hour could to see about being put into a group for 45 minutes, cutting out the bicep and tricep portion?
As for slave of your own… -smile- my mother is a disabled slave so her Master and her are getting a “house slave” a slave that is purely for the housework alone as my mother is often too ill to be able to do any herself. Would a house slave work for you to relieve some of the pressure?
It’s the hour long class. I’m already doing yoga- and trying to do pilates, too, but the class times aren’t working for me.
I’m starting out with pretty small weights, trying to build up my endurance. It’s just going to hurt in the process. Bah.
As for a house slave, as much as I would love it, I think that’s the job title he’s given me.
I have to start doing 3-5 miles of walking a day and keeping a food journal. Evidently, D’s figured out that Zen Mastery works for everything except, you know, exercise and eating. I don’t eat enough to raise my metabolism.
Also, since he took a leave to monitor me and make me healthy, uh, he’s here so I have no excuse.
gah.. he’s actually treating me like a slave if you can BELIEVE that.

3 to 5 miles would be awesome. Do you have a treadmill or do you have to go outside and walk? I like the treadmill so much better.
I wish I ate too little..lol. I’ve gotten a lot better, trying to make healthier choices but I think I’m still eating too much. I tried the food journal at caloriecounter (or some such website) but I found making the entries, finding the food in their database, to be too time consuming. I don’t have that kind of time everyday.
Oh,I don’t bother with counting calories. I just write down what I eat in a list and approximately how much I ate.
My goal is to replace the unhealthy foods and snacks and to be aware of what I eat. At the end of the day, if the page is nearly blank, it wasn’t a good day. If it’s filled up with stuff that I shouldn’t be eating, still not a good day. I just write it down in a notebook so that I’m accountable.
I walk indoors. I used to use a treadmill, but now I use the In home walking DVDs or whatever. I also do taebo extreme like a motherfucker. I love that shit so much!
I wake up and do the taebo 10 minute workout every day if I can. It really makes me feel like I can kick the whole day’s ass.

I do body pump at my gym here, too! Yes, painful at first, but it will get better as you strengthen those muscles. Hang in there!
It’s mostly in my legs that I’m hurting. Those lunges and squats? KILL ME..lol
yep, but it won’t take long for you to see results! I started seeing a difference in 4 weeks and I can only go once a week.

I’ve returned to body pump after a few years absence. Painful it certainly is. Apparently (we were told) the same routine with the same music is taught all over the world at the same time! Are you doing the routine with the cover of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” in it?

Body pump is great but it does kick your booty. It pays off in the long run – you’ll notice the difference

Keep up the work! I’ve started doing a kettlebell circuit training class this past week…I’m SO sore. I actually woke up this AM thinking I might hit the class again after work, but my muscles decided to mass revolt throughout the day..so it was yoga instead. Kettlebell tomorrow, though, lol.
Remember this pain – it’ll be a good incentive to not quit (because then you’ll just have to go through it all over again when you inevitably decide to start hitting the gym again!!)
So what were the perks here?

You know whats good to get ride of the soreness after pump? doing a yoga class. I do pump then yoga and I never have the afterclass pain anymore.
