I'm a lurker...love your humor, wit, and articulance...live pretty vanilla (but consider myself very mildly kinky...is there a, say, 'cinnamon' category?) cover my eyes from time to time...but want to say your daughter is SO lucky to have a mom like you...You're entitled to your rants, and your sarcasm, but I admire that you use this as your outlet, rather than heaping it on her. Do as you have been, helping her grow and rise to the challenge...but use an appropriate channel (like here) for your (VERy understandable) frustration and need to vent and be snotty. I didn't have a baby at 17 but wish my overall great mother had had such an outlet and support rather than regularly dump her motherhood aggravations and frustrations on me and my brother. I'm betting that before she reaches the age of 25, Jes will realize the gifts that you (and your Master) have given her, and will bring those qualities while raising her own child.

I can't adequately expressmy admiration for you for taking the lesson from your mother of what not to do...my (legally step-father) father did the same with us. He was physically and severely emotionally abused by his mother, but rather than repeating the pattern, managed to find a way to be a great father. Unfortunately, being in the military, was gone a LOT. I did want to support your insight...and reinforce that you're right to keep that in mind. Best wishes to all of you in the coming months.

Probably not a great option for you, but my Mirena (IUD) caused me to stop bleeding right away. I was on my period when it was inserted, and after that bleeding ended I have never bled again.

The only reason I say it's not a great option for you is that this isn't a guaranteed side effect (though it is common within several months of getting it), and it may be too close to the Spank event.

However, for Jess an IUD is a great option. They can be inserted immediately after birth I believe in most instances, but also at the 6 - 8 week checkup. The Mirena lasts for 5 years, and the copper IUD lasts for ten years. Might just be something to think about...

Yaz is also lower dose than Yasmine, and actually it has made it to Australia now, in the last 6 months or so.

About the delaying-period thing, I find I get PMS anyway that continues until I actually get it. And I've tried a bunch of different birth control pills and they all mess with me one way or another for the first month. Just keep that all in mind I guess.

Ok... I am confused... grrr... we dont have Yaz in Australia, but I do know that if I want to skip a period I keep on taking the pill all the way through and dont take the sugar pills. I am not sure if Yaz has sugar pills? My suggestion is start taking it... if it has sugar pills dont take them skip that week and keep going on the normal homrone pills. When is the spankfest? 3 or 4 weeks away? If its 4 start taking them now, stop 1 week before and you will get a period. If its 3 start taking them and dont stop until after. I dunno though, nature and mother and all that stuff?

Usually if you start you will not get a period unless you take the sugar pills or stop.

Grr.. if it were a pill I knew I would be an expert.

Thats all I can offer hon!
