Facebook me!
So I JUST signed up for Facebook. Me and the Man. We’re sharing. Cuz we’re close like that.
Leesa, that’d be why we aren’t friends there. Yet. Because I just got it.
(In the vein of being behind the times, there’s this great little movie that I watched the other night called Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Have you heard of it? As ufo movies go, it’s a’ite. You should watch it. *nods*)
So, anyway. I’m clueless. Now what do I do with it??
And who are all these people that Facebook is telling me to friend?! I don’t even know who they are!
(I’m completely wired tonight. It’s friggin midnight and I’m jittering. I had a Mt. Dew. He went to bed and left me out here all alone to jitter without irritating him.)
But back to Facebook. I’m excited! I’m networking! If I could just figure out how…

Just endlessly play Farmville… that’s what facebook is all about.

’cause I didn’t ask him before I joined, and it freaked him out. He is still getting used to his wife of 28 years coming out kinky. He’s great at the bossy, tell Kelly what to do part, still getting comfortable with the pain infliction portion of our program.
Ima gonna try and suggest “we” share a Fet login, like you and Scott share Facebook. :-)
Just be aware that everyone knows who you are now.

How do they know who I am?
Well, maybe not for you but for me, when I signed up on FB a couple of years ago with my real name and “vanilla” email address, etc., and then I signed up for Facebook under my “Amber” email, thinking I’d add just people who know me as Amber, somehow FB oh-so-not-helpfully started offering my vanilla friends and family to me as Amber as well as the friends I’d made being “Amber”!
Like my kids! And my sibs! And work contacts! OMG! How in hell…?
So I deleted my Amber FB account in a hurry and I’ve been too afraid to try it since. Even with a new Amber email address.
And even if I somehow kept the accounts separate, I’m too askeered I’d forget which FB name I was and say something on a the family one that was meant for the Amber one, or visa-versa.
I envy you! Have a blast! And yeah, stay the hell away from Farmville, lol.
Damn it. Now you’re probably not going to blog as much; many bloggers slow down or even stop after they join Facebook. :(
Just so you know…… I have 2 lives – my kinky one is blogland and Fetlife.. my vanilla/work one is facebook. For me it is necessary to separate the two.
Mostly I use facebook to upload the latest pics of family events – so the family can share them…
and yeah … when I am bored – which is A LOT.. I play farmville… nods @kitten – which just so you know .. annoys most who don’t play ..

My internet life is split between my kinky life, which I am used to hiding from my real life, and my real life, which isn’t always as interesting. And in my real life, what I do is lurk on Facebook, read other people’s stuff, and play Farmville, which my kids refer to as Assville. Now is that nice?

Just four words of advice – “STAY AWAY FROM FARMVILLE” ‘cause it’ll end like this – My name is Kaya and I am a Farmville addict.
Then one day you’ll be picking B-Man up from school and you’ll find yourself yelling from the car – “Hey Luke, I sent you a neighbor request on Farmville and you didn’t accept it, I need you to do that now so I can get my plantation.” OK, Ms. K, I’ll do it when I get home. Come over here now and use my phone to log in, I don’t want you to forget. Crap mom, you’re holding up the whole parent pick up line, stop doing this to my friends. I’m sorry B-Man, but I’ve gotta get this plantation.
BTW, I don’t play anymore. I am on a self imposed moratorium.

I am addin the “timed games” ie-farmville, cafe world ect. Otherwise, you’ll be worried about your stuff expiring…. so far i have been more worried about serving Master that that….so far. *grin*

OK, it took me a minute to get the “Scottnkaya Nottelling”. Actually, it took me a long while as I was looking it up on facebook and then i was like “oh, NOT TELLING!!!” i get it. i’m slow.
i keep my “kink” and my “vanilla” seperate but i have a few of my lifestyle friends on there. i could not find you either which is a bummer cause i wanted to be friends. :0(

Oh, I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one with two facebooks. One is for friends and work aquaintances, the other for family. I vent and moan and bitch and post inappropriate things on my “real” one…lol….and then just use the other one to see what family is up to. So glad to see it’s not just me who has seperate accounts!
Both Collarsmith and I do the facebook too. Farmville WILL suck you in, so I would strongly suggest you not get into that. (yes I know from experience) I think I am fairly easy to find so feel free to friend me too.

I only got on it for my DD’s wedding pics.. and that is mostly the only reason I stay. family photos!
Enjoy it.. but beware of the farmville etc stuff..my cousin got sucked in and it took major intervention to get her to loosen up~~~hehehe
Not a problem about farmville…..she’s banned from it as of now. *grins*.. Not even to look at or even sample it once. Thanks for the warning all.

I’d be surprised if Kaya wanted to play the games at all, but then, I could be totally wrong. I have never met Kaya, I just know her from what I’ve read over the years. :)
Hint to those who hate the incessant Facebook game posts, like Farmville, Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, “10 Things you never wanted to know” blahblah; to the RH side of the person’s name who posted about whatever game/quiz they are playing, click on the “x” and it gives you the option to forever hide it.
It doesn’t hide their posts about their own lives or personal thoughts or pictures they post or anything that *they* generate themselves, just the game/quiz stuff.
And that goes for anyone else on FB who plays the game; your own FB will now hide all announcements from those platforms. :)

Clicking on the “x” brings up three choices; block the person, block the game (in the middle) or cancel. Easy-peasy.
