Baby Bump
By request- my granddaughter. :-)
She’s 32 weeks today.

~~*~~
The setting: Dinner table, last night, I made pasta with zucchini in it. Am was doing a taste test by nibbling a micrscopic bite of “something green”.
Am: I don’t even taste anything!
Jes: Put the whole thing in your mouth.
B-man, without missing a beat: That’s what she said.
~~*~~
The setting: Discussing our upcoming trip to Illinois.
B-man: Why do we have to go there next week?
Me: Because if we wait, Jes won’t be able to travel.
B-man: Why can’t she travel?
Am, deadpans: Because she’s a land-whale.
~~*~~
I had more but now I gotta go. Later!

I <3 your kids. :D
*looks down at her tiny 30 week bump* Jeezum.
That is some bump!
She is into the final stretch now…
Lol!! Your family is fab!
“Bump” seems a rather inadequate description of that belly. I’m not envious of what you(inclusive of family) and she will go through over the next several weeks but I am somewhat envious of having a grandbaby to coo over and spoil. Those two male offspring of mine don’t seem to be on a baby-making track at this time but that is certainly not bad. I still want a G’baby though (it is all about me you know)
In spite of the circumstances, I am also looking forward to that baby to coo over. It’s going to be the most spoiledest of grandbabies in the history of grandchildren! :D
Fricken hilarious. Srsly.
That’s a happy bump! Wherever did those children GET that sense of humor, I wonder….
Kaya,
Oh to be a fly on the wall at your place. Those are very funny.
Dave
You’re gonna lubs lubs LUBS being a grandma! I do! :)
Hint; they are really tiny. No really, you’ve forgotten how tiny they are, trust me, Heh. and cute! And they smell good.
And YOU didn’t have to push her out this time, either, haahahah! :)
I am freaking out. I don’t remember what to do! I don’t remember how to hold them! Ahh!
It’s useless to tell you not to freak out because you’re just gonna. :)
But just like everyone told me, it really does come back to you as soon as you hold them. At first, you’re slightly awkward because your body/mind has to remember, then it kinda “clicks” the more you mess with them.
You’ll see. :) The way they butt their head into you when you’re cradling them, looking to feed on a boob (even though your boob isn’t the one they need, lol!), the “angry” crying vs. the “hungry” crying vs. the “ow” crying. Jes will have to learn what all that means and she will, very quickly, lol! :)
But you’ll recognize all that instantly and more.
Just don’t do what I did and try to “help” by pointing everything out to Jes too much, try let her figure stuff out on her own as much as possible. I found that part hard, but Lucy and I get along much better once I backed off trying to be overly-helpful.
they don’t smell that good, LOL my sister has twins, I watch them full time now and beleive me.. the stinkage starts LOL.
wow, amazing she is almost there!! :D
Your kids are hysterical. I hope your new grandbaby inherits that sense of humor.
Yay for P-town! If you feel like socializing, give me a yell. =)
I would love to, seriously, but we’re only there for Saturday and Sunday and leaving Monday morning. This is the quickest trip ever- but the family wants to see Jes before she can’t move anymore so we’re doing a baby shower and a graduation fling for B-man…
Next time? :)
Raincheck. =) Have a safe trip!
Illinois, eh? Chicagoland perhaps?
Nope. Just about 2 hours to the west of there though. Why? Wanna come to a baby shower? :D
Bumb, she says. o.o That’s no bump, that is baby with Jes attached.
As for your kids…*snicker* Humor runs in the family I see.
“that is baby with Jes attached.”
lol.. that’s how she feels! Ha. Karma I say. ;)
land whales LOL
I snorted on that one too.
“That’s what she said” has become a standard answer around here. (I have the same age groups).
Land-whale? Ok…a snort here too!
Awww, I love preggy bellys
Look at the baby in there! Aww! I had two co-workers go out on maternity leave over the past month. I wouldn’t be surprised if she came early. She is carrying low, it looks like.
Have a safe happy trip (and bring back more funny quips from the chitlans :-)
ps- the blog is now open to everyone with no hoops to jump through or passwords!

Gotta love the bump pics. I have so many of my daughter and her bump that it drove her to distraction. Now she loves them.
I bet you must be excited. Being a nanna is awesome (and I was one at 37) and now she is two and I couldn’t imagine a day in my life without her.
Big hugs
