Any movie buffs out there?
I’ve been trying to find a movie that I saw a million years ago.
I *think* it had Alec Baldwin and Michelle Pfeiffer in it. Though I could be so wrong on both of those actors. And I think Michelle Pfeiffer played a dual role, playing her own twin who was in prison and they did an escape/switch so the one could kill Alec Baldwin.
I think there was one scene where Alec Baldwin was on his way home in the middle of the night and had called home with a very precise list of what he wanted her to have cooked, what she should be wearing, etc. And I seem to recall a rather steamy bathroom/sex scene where she did a little strip tease.
Sound familiar to anyone?
EDIT::::
It might be Final Analysis. It could be that I’m remembering two different movies and am mixing the two plots together, too. The abusive husband angle fits for sure, as does the lighthouse scene that seems vaguely familiar. But I am positive, for sure positive, about the woman playing dual roles and switching places with her “twin” in prison. The point of that, if I’m not mistaken, was so the murder would be gotten away with. (How could the twin do it when she was locked up kinda plan) I *think* the husband didnt know the twin existed. Or something. I don’t think Basinger and Thurman look enough alike to have played the twins that I wouldn’t remember it being two different woman in the role.
I sure can’t find it though. I’ll have to pick up a copy of Final Analysis to see how much that fits and where I’m mixing up plots. What makes the movie stick out in my mind was the clear domination/submission role between the husband and wife. Especially the scene where he called home and gave that precise list to her.
Bah.

You don’t mean 9 1/5 weeks, do you? Mickey Rourke did that kind of thing to Kim Bassinger all the way through the movie. And she did the BEST strip tease to “Leave Your Hat On.”
It’s not 9 1/2 weeks, but it MIGHT have Kim B. in it instead of Michelle P. Hmmm.
9 1/2 Weeks does not involve twins and a plan to kill the male lead, but is an incredibly hot film. That film has Kim Bassinger and Mickey Roarke in it.
Nope. Defo not 9 1/2 weeks. I’ve never seen that one though, good watch?
re: 9 and 1/2 Weeks… am I the only one who thought it was kind of dull?
The movie itself was kinda dull. The striptease and the refrigerator scenes were pretty hot, though.
It wasn’t an entirely fast paced film at all, no, and I have to agree, it certainly had dull moments.
do you mean Sweet revenge?-

No.. *sigh*
You’re not thinking of Married to the Mob are you?
No no.. it wasn’t a comedy. Very much a drama, suspense type movie.
Dangerous Liaisons?
No. Not that either. Bugger.
Totally off-topic, sorry, but do many Americans say ‘bugger’? I thought it was only us Aussies, the Kiwis, and maybe the English.
Love the blog, but it’s bloody hard to read at work.
Definitely the english!
The Getaway – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Getaway_(1994_film) – Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger
This is most likely not right at all, but when you said twin and killed the man I thought Double Jeopardy:

I LOVE Double Jeopardy. Not to mention Kiss the Girls and Along Came A Spider… all great movies.
Kim Bassinger, Richard Gere and Uma Thurman – “Final Analysis”

speaking of hot movies – anyone ever see Wild Orchid? I think it is one of the most sexually explicit movies I recall seeing as a young adult. While the film is mild by today’s standards when released in 1990 it was very sexually explict. It has elements of “control” and “dom” behavior and tons of sexuality in it – I understand that the final scene Mickey and Carrie Otis really went at it – it also has Jacquline Bisset in it and she is hot to look at anyday – especially back in 1990.
I LOVE that movie. I was about 14 when I first saw it which was around the time that my *cough* small Mickey Rourke fetish started to develop.

If you are looking for a great film to make any subbie squirmy, I recently watched The Hitman. The Main lead guy in that movie is hot as all hell…..he kidnaps the girl and spends most of his time bossing her around. Yummy.
My fave part is when she asks him why he carries a bag around all the time and he replies “It’s where I keep all my gags to shut up naughty girls who ask questions”
Or perhaps the part where she’s yelling and he says “Silence. Behave or you are riding the whole way in the trunk”
MMMM…I need to go watch it again.
Kaya,
This is so depressing. I only recognized one of the movies people listed, 9 1/2 weeks; and yes, I thought it was pretty boring too, as well as depresssing. For a long time, any story involving BDSM ended unhappily or had the subs and doms as psychos: Story of O (she kills herself); 9 1/2 weeks (they break it off and she can’t enjoy sex any more); Basic Instinct (she’s a psychotic murderer). Thankfully, it’s getting better, thanks to e-booki availability. Sorry, rambling again.
Dave
I AM READING THIS BOOK (STORY OF O) AND YOU JUST GAVE AWAY THE ENDING
FUYFJckxngfjkll
well jeez, its not like you are reading it for the ending!
tina
It doesn’t really matter if I’m reading it for the ending or not, the fact is is that I’m reading a book and I don’t really want the end given away – the fact that I know the ending now makes me not want to read it because I already know what happens. The most important thing (for me) when reading a book is reading the whole thing from cover to cover and seeing what happens and how it happens and how the story progresses. Who cares if it’s just erotica? The point is is that it’s a book and I don’t want to know the ending to something I’m interested in.
I’m sure you wouldn’t've liked it if I gave away an ending to a book that you were enjoying reading (smut or not smut). But maybe this is just a much bigger deal to some people than to others, but personally I find it a huge deal.
sorry, my bad. I can tell you that it has an alternate ending that I’ll not mention. Enjoy.
Dave
Alright thanks, sorry for spazzing but I literally just started reading this book and I hate finding out endings to stuff lol. So yeah, sorry about freaking out but I think I’m somewhat justified.
Yes you were justified. I have enough friends who feel the same way that I wouldn’t have dreamed of telling the end of the book if I had given it any thought. I hope you can still enjoy it.
As a side note, I’m the reader who reads the last page of a mystery before I start. I’ve read numerous books in a Slaughterhouse Five manner, randomly pulling snippets from various sections of the book in no apparent order.
Dave
Yeah I used to do that too, but then I found out after doing it a few times that it just kind of ruined the entire story for me. So yeah, I don’t anymore (obviously).
The fact that there’s an alternate ending makes me intrigued again to read it, so I’ll end up finishing it. But yeah, thanks for understanding and whatnot, and accidents happen. :)
I thought about Final Analyzes as well when I read your description although the sisters are not twins and it was Eric Roberts who played the
yummybad guy.how about The Secretary (James Spader) for an “mmmmmmmmmm” movie with a good ending ???????
I think the movie you are looking for Kaya is with Richard Gere and i believe Kim Basinger … can’t remember the other actress….. but they were sisters and one was crazy I think… has been a while …
